The City of Copenhagen offers mother tongue education to children from ethnic backgrounds other than Danish so that they can learn their own mother tongue on an equal basis with all Danish children.
Courses in different languages have been set up at various schools in Copenhagen. This includes teaching in Kurdish, both in Kurmanji (Kurmancî) and in the Sorani dialect.
We hope that our members and the Kurds living here will take advantage of this fantastic offer from the community and send their children to Kurdish native language lessons.
